Time for camping adventures!
Jason and I have been wanting a camper for a long time. My boys are all young, and there is no better time to go on lots of fun adventures than when the kids are little. I have some older friends that have warned me about life with teenagers. Many teens are busy with jobs, summer school, sports, or other activities and are not able to go on many family summer vacations (or don't want to). Life gets busier and busier as kids get older. Taking young kids on trips is challenging, but I really do love it. I love spending time with my family in the great outdoors. I want to create as many memories with my kids as I can before they are grown. Owning a travel trailer opens up so many possibilities for quick, one night outings. Once we decided to start researching all about RV's, it took a long time to finally purchase one. First, we had to figure out what model we wanted. We wanted one that was small, lightweight, and reasonably priced, but spacious enough to comfortably sleep all five of us. Those were the priorities, but I personally really wanted one with a king bed, kitchen, and bathroom as well. We also wanted one that had enough storage for bikes and other items. After many months of researching, comparing, long drives to visit different dealerships (and frustrations)...we finally figured out what make and model we wanted (we had to walk through a lot of campers to figure that out). Jason then had to haggle prices and search for a dealership that could give us the best deal. It was a long and frustrating process, but it was all worth it once we finally had our camper in hand (we still need to name her!). There is a lot to learn about campers, but we are slowly figuring everything out. We are excited for all our upcoming outdoor adventures!
