Springtime adventures

This year I attended the tulip festival four times -  once with Blake, twice with different friends, and another time with Jason and the kids. It was so much fun!  I feel like the tulip festival is the gold medal given to us by nature for surviving the cold Utah winter.    Blake loves going with me, but the older boys tend to complain and grumble.  However, once there, they absolutely love it.  Wesley enjoyed taking a bunch of pictures on my phone this year, and they all loved feeding the koi fish in the pond.

Other Spring time adventures:

Addie and Blake all ready to have a picnic at our ward playgroup

Blake is only four, but he LOVES his bike.  We live in an area that is very popular for bike riding, especially mountain biking. Just a few minutes from our house is an amazing pump and jump course that I recently took Blake to. Blake loved it, and he would have stayed here all day if I let him.

Chase, along with all the other first graders,  put on a carnival for the kindergartners in his school for their math unit. Chase worked the hot wheel track area, and he really took his job seriously. Its so fun watching him at school, and I love how excited he gets every time I come in his class to help.

Wesley had an "under water" themed spring orchestra program

After the concert, we got to enjoy an art show displaying the fun projects all the students created during art class that year.

One night I wasn't feeling well, and Blake decided he wanted to make dinner for everyone.  He needed a little help cutting the bread, but he made a peanut butter and nutella sandwich for himself and his brothers all on his own.  It was one of the sweetest things I've ever seen.  He was so excited to help and make dinner for everyone.

Making popsicles with our zoku maker is always a fun activity

I feel blessed to live in an area so close to nature... It makes my heart happy.   Within minutes I can leave my house and walk on a trail.  Within 10 minutes I can hop in my car and be on a trailhead on the mountainside.  Within 20 minutes I can be on a trail head leading to this gorgeous reservoir.  Within 30 min I can be up in the fresh mountain air.  Happiness!!!

Here are some pictures Wesley took on my phone at the tulip festival

Another fun spring activity is the Fairy festival at Gardner Village.  I took Blake and Addie here one morning, and they both had fun finding the fairies and eating fairy fluff.
