More Spring-time Happiness

I love helping out on my kid's field trips. His class recently went on a walking field trip to Harmons.  Each child was given two dollars, and they had to use money management skills to buy anything they wanted.  They also had to ask employees how they use math in their jobs.  It was a really fun and simple field trip, and the kids loved it!

More Tulip festival fun with my cute Blake.

I LOVE when my lilacs bloom during the Spring. I have two huge bushes in my front yard, and they are so beautiful.  The lilacs only last about two weeks, but the heavenly smell they produce fills my yard with so much happiness.  They remind me of my mom and Grandma, and I'm so grateful for those two short weeks I have to enjoy them every year.

This year I signed Chase and Blake up for soccer. My boys have never been on a sport's team, so it was a new experience for all of us.  They participated in different programs, so the last few months before school got out were pretty crazy.  However, they both loved it.  Chase played defense and goalie the entire season, and I'm pretty sure he thinks he's a professional soccer player now.  Blake just ran around the field for his games, and cried when he didn't make a goal.  It was a fun experience though, and I look forward to many more years of running around town to attend different sports games for my kids!

Spring also means longer daylight hours and finally getting to play outside!

We walked to our little local park one evening, and Wesley brought his book to read while his brother's played Jurassic Park.

Blake and Addie were on the same soccer team (mainly why I signed him up to play in the first place).  They are seriously the cutest friends.  I have been babysitting Addie for the last two years.  We are really going to miss her when she moves.  Blake is not going to know what to do with himself!

Blake loves holding our hamster.  He is my animal lover.
For Mother's day, my boys made me the cutest items at school. Wesley made this amazing ceramic bowl and ring holder, and Chase made me a fun ceramic necklace disk for essential oils.  My boys was so excited to give me their gifts.   These gifts, along with their sweet excited faces full of love are the best gifts a mom can receive.

Beautiful Utah sunset
For Chase's last day as a tiger scout, his leaders created a fun raffle game.  Each kid got 100 tickets, and got to place them in different prize bags.  Chase ended up winning about 8 times.  He said, "This is the best day of my life!!!"

Cute Addie and Blake

Weston and Blake playing outside.  Its so fun (and often crazy) having a neighborhood full of kids.

Wesley had a busy scout year - he was in two different troops and he earned both his wolf and bear in the same year.  He also earned his super nova award.

Brand new wolf scout!
