There is so much beauty in this world. Exploring our amazing planet with my kids makes me so happy. Here are some of our adventures we had between April to May of 2017.
Our first adventure we took after Jason got his new truck was to the Dugway geode beds. We used to take our mini van on a lot of adventures, but there have been a few times it was not able to concur some off roading trails. Now, we don't ever have to worry about getting stuck in my van. However, I've quickly learned that I am a huge wuss, and off roading scares the dickens out of me! The boys, however, absolutely love it.

In May we celebrated Chase's 6th birthday! He had a very lego birthday and received lego sets from almost everyone who gave him a gift! We didn't have a big friend birthday party this year, but we did go to Kangaroo Zoo with a few neighbor friends to celebrate (William, Ellie, Weston, and Henry). Chase has a tendency to get really upset if something doesn't go perfectly his way, and for some reason when we got to Kangaroo Zoo, he was super grumpy. He refused to go and jump or play with anyone. After about an hour I told him he needed to go jump if he wanted to open any gifts, and that snapped him out of his mood. Silly guy! I think he had a fun day though, and I'm so thankful Chase is in our family! His sweet spirit brings so much joy to our home.
In nursery, an older sister who likes to be called, "Grandma Jo" comes in during the last 15 min for story time. She is so good with the kids and always brings the cutest props with her.

We live so close to the mountains, so Blake and I will often go on little hikes during the day |
Our city held a moto cross race just a few miles from our house. It was long, but it was a fun experience.
For Mother's day Jason made this gorgeous waffle and had the boys surprise me with breakfast in bed.
Later that evening we went on a hike not too far from our home

Cute sleeping Blakers |
Blake's speech class was held at a school nestled agains the mountains. While he was in class (it was only an hour each week) I would sometimes go hiking on a trail right next to the school. One day in May it snowed, and the trail was so gorgeous!

This trail is right next to our neighborhood playground, so we will often walk to the playground, and then walk along the trail to get some nature time in.
Another fun thing we like to do is visit our local pond and feed the ducks. On this day we invited our neighbor friends to join us, and I also brought Addie with us. There was even a cute duck who ate right out of the kids hands! Seriously - its the little moments like this that I am going to treasure the rest of my life.
