I love this time of year. The weather is nice and cool. The air is filled with the sweet aromas of Christmas. Wesley is getting older, and therefore has a better understanding of Christmas. We have been trying to teach him the importance of Christmas, and about Jesus' birth. We took him and Chase to Euclid Ave where they have giant nativity scenes set up. I have been visiting those nativity scenes with my family ever since I could walk. It is a lot of fun seeing Wesley get excited over the very things that were magical to me as a child. Another fun thing for him right now is opening a flap on our advent calendar each day, and watching a brief clip on our countdown calendar on the computer. He enjoys helping me pick out paper to wrap the presents in, and although I appreciate his help, he often tends to take out every bow from the bag and place them around the room. He also helps mommy by writing on all the tags for me, and crinkling up all my wrapping paper. I dont know who makes a bigger mess..me or him! :-) We also recently visited Santa with Jennifer's kidos. We surprisingly got a good picture with all five kids...including two babies! Bass pro shop is amazing...a picture with Santa, AND a free carousel ride. SO much fun! We also set up our tree right after Thanksgiving. The lighting was perfect, the boys were happy, and I couldn't pass up a picture taking opportunity. I quickly dressed them up, and posed them in front of the tree. I can't turn away picture opportunities!! :-) I ended up using the pictures for our Christmas cards. Yay for Christmas!!!
