Oh ya...because I have two crazy (but oh so cute) boys that either wont sleep or are getting into everything! I am trying to get Chase to sleep better, because I am oh so very exhausted. He is getting better, but I have come to realize that the problem he has is that he can't put himself back to sleep. When he wakes up at night, he just doesn't have the skills to go back to sleep so he cries. It has been my fault because I never put him down while awake liek I did with Wesley, so he always falls asleep while nursing or with the pacifier. I'll nurse him the first time he wakes up, but after that I have been trying to let him figure out how to go back to sleep instead of shoving a paci in him mouth like I have been doing, or bringing him into bed with me. The past few days have been rough. I dont like to let him cry, but I know once he can figure this out, we will both be happier. He cried for an hour and a half the first night. I got up every 10 minutes to try to comfort him with out picking him up or talking too much. He didn't care, lol. I finally gave in and gave him the paci so I could get some sleep! He cried for an hour the next night, and an hour and a half last night too. I am really hoping it gets better, but he is so stubborn! He is really fussy during the day, and I just recently realized it is because the poor guy is so tired from not sleeping much. Also, he likes to be entertained and not left alone. When I can't hold him because I need to use the restroom, or tend to Wesley, or just need a break...I am moving him from the jumper to the play gym to the bouncer to the floor all day to keep him happy. He will last like 5 or 10 minutes if I am lucky, and then cries for me to get him. He loves to be held, but only if I am standing, or entertaining him. Wheww! It get tiring, but I am so busy all day I dont even notice sometimes! I love my little "chasey poo" so much though. I can just kiss those sweet cheeks all day. He is constantly chewing on anything that comes near his little mouth. He always has to have a paci, or he is gnawing on his fist, or his shirt, or his blanket, or whatever. He is covered in drool, and anything near him too for that matter! He is ver observant, and has to know what is going on in a room at all times, and it always surveying the room. He LOVES his jumparoo, and is very good at using it. He still doesn't want to eat solids, which really surprises me considering how much he likes to try to eat everything around him. He would rather eat the spoon than the food. He still likes to nurse, and really doesn't like the bottle much. I am trying to get him to take it more though for when we are out. I am not a fan of nursing in public if I dont need to. He only nurses every few hours for 5 to 10 minutes one side...you would think he ate all the time for how big he is! Although he is a goober sometimes, I love his sweet little chunkiness so much. His sweet smile and cute baby laugh light up my whole world. I feel like he should be so much older than 5 months though. It seems like it was sooo long ago that I had him. Many people say time flies, but I guess I have been so tired I haven't noticed, lol
Wesley is still silly and crazy as ever. He is in this "I am going to get into EVERYTHING" phase. Its like he is reverting back to a one year old in that aspect. He climbed our desk, got a permanent marker, opened it, and drew all over our nice keyboard. Jason tried to get the marker off, but some moisture got in it, and it stopped working and we had to buy another one ($70 for our imac). He is quite the talker, and his favorite thing is to ask me what I am doing ALL day. It is cute, and slightly annoying at the same time, lol. He follows me around the house from room to room, and will stay in any room I am in until I leave. It is sweet he has to be next to me every second. It goes like this pretty much over and over... "Mommy...look what I found!" "mommy, what you doing" "mommy Look!!! look!!!!" "mommy whats this?" "mommy look what I make!" Mommy..what are you doing?" "whats that?" "please watch sprout!" "please milk!" "what are you doing?" "look mommy!" "mommy please see grandma" "mommy what you doing?" Lol...he is so cute though, it really just makes me smile...except when Chase is crying too it can be a little bit much. :-) He is the funniest kid I know. He makes me smile more than anyone, and I dont know how I got so lucky to have him! (I have to remind myself that when he draws all over the keyboard, brings me black spiders in his hand, rearranges all the books on my shelf, draws on my couch, unrolls all the toilet paper, and so on, lol)
more pics of the fair, and beach, and other summer things, but that will have to wait for another post....

Love these two sweet things! |

I couldn't get Chase to stop chewing on his hand! |
My sister in law who has lived in Washington for years is now in California for a little while. She has three kids, one who is Wesley's age, and one Chases age. Well...Lily is two months younger than Chase, but still..pretty much the same. Don't they look like a little old married couple? lol.

he always puckers up his lips, so they always look so sweet and kissable! |

he is known for his poofy hair. |

His favorite way to sleep...on my left side, all cuddled up. |

How can I get mad at that face? |
so, for the past month Wesley falls asleep right next to his door in the bedroom. He gets out of bed, and wants to look under the door to see if he can see mommy or daddy. He often calls out in a sad little voice "mommy..where are you??" He will sleep there pretty much all night too, so I try to squeeze my way in and put him back to bed.

The "rocket" Wesley built. He is getting pretty good at building things |
 |
yup....I have kids, lol |

Wesley sees how much fun Chase has, and begs me to "jumpy jump" too. I let him do it once, and he had a blast! |
