Chase was blessed on June 26th. My mom made him the most darling little outfit. It was a nice day..busy and a little hectic...but nice. It was fun because he was blessed on the same day as our friend's baby (the one who I had a joint baby shower with). Their older son is Wesley's age, and Chase and Joshua are only 3 days apart. It is fun. Jason gave Chase a wonderful blessing, and Chase was such a good baby the whole day. He slept a lot (which he really normally doesn't do), and let every one hold him and pass him around. Wesley was really good too even though he stayed up way past his nap time! The one thing that I am really bummed about is that we didn't get any family pictures. It was just so busy we ran out of time, and Wesley was so hot in his little tux so we had to change him, and then he took a nap, and so on... At least I got a few quick ones with me holding him..

Joshua and Chase |
On the fourth of July we went to the Claremont colleges like I have been doing since I was Wesley's age. We sat in a big grass field and watched the fireworks at night. Wesley had soooo much fun running all over the grass. He would visit with all the different families. The best part was when a group of foreign exchange students surrounded him and treated him like a movie star. They all wanted to take a picture with the little red head. It was sooo cute. They all wanted a kiss from him too. He took the attention really well, and posed for the pictures, and even kissed some girls...on the lips! I'm going to be in trouble when he gets older! Watching Wesley's reaction to the fireworks made the night so much fun. Fireworks became so much more magical. He would yell, "YaY!!!! Yay!!! Sparkly! Fireworks!!!!" so fun! :-)

Wesley fell asleep in the car holding his glow sticks that he loved almost as much as the fireworks! |

Lastly, We finally transitioned Wesley's crib into a toddler bed. We didn't even put up any railing (the mattress is only a few inches above the floor), and he is doing great! Hopefully he continues to do well. He is, and always has been a really good sleeper. Hopefully I can get Chase to sleep as well. Right now Chase is only waking up once a night, but he is such a light sleeper that he tosses and turns and makes noises so I have a hard time sleeping. Its all good though...I know this stage will fly by all too fast. Chase is two months old, but i think I will leave that to another post.
