My best friend Nessa came over on Saturday to help me paint a tree on the wall of my nursery (pictures of that will come soon when it is all finished!). We got the outline done and just barely started painting when she told me she wanted to do a photo-shoot of me before we got all dirty and tired from painting. She had been wanting to take some maternity pictures of me for a while and I knew we were going to take some, I just wasn't expecting to do them so soon. I didn't mind though, so I went and changed out of my paint clothes. My mom was over to help watch Wesley while we painted, so she stayed while we went to take the pictures. Jason was helping his grandma move, so he was busy that day. We walked down the street and took some pictures in the little grass meadow by my house. Nessa borrowed my camera, and was having a lot of fun using it. I thought we took enough pictures after like 30 minutes, but she kept insisting on taking more. She said she was having so much fun pretending to be a photographer, and didn't want to stop yet. I didn't think anything of it, so I let her have fun and we kept taking pictures, lol. It was nice just to talk to her since I dont see her very often. Finally I told her I wanted to finish the tree mural, and we walked slowly back to the house. We got there and both Jason and her husband greeted us and seemed really excited to see the pictures we just took. It was a little weird, lol. I asked, "you want to see them now....really?" Then, all of the sudden my family jumps out of the back family room and yells "Surprise!" That was fun. It was just a little family party with my mom, dad, grandma, brother and his girlfriend, and Nessa's hubby, mom, and aunt. It was perfect because I get nervous with a lot of people. Nessa wanted to throw me something little to celebrate this baby. I was absolutely in awe with their generosity and thoughtfulness. It was just a fun and simple baby sprinkle (not shower, he he he) with yummy food, and sweet gifts. Wesley thought the party was for him, and loved the balloons and the strawberries. He did so good! Thanks everyone! It was such a fun day with family!
