Well, a lot has been happening lately. I apologize to those with facebook that have already seen some of these pictures. I use this as a journal, and also Jason likes to get the pictures off the blog to put on his work computer, so I often post both places.
First, I finished the tree in the boy's room. I love the way it came out, and hopefully they will enjoy it for many years :-) So now, the nursery is officially all done. I do have new clothing and other items from the baby shower in the crib, but I am waiting until the baby is born to wash them just to make sure the little guy is indeed a little guy and that nothing needs to be returned. :-) We are 99% sure, but ya just never know! I have all Wesley's cute little clothes put away too, and I can't wait to use them again! Wesley's crib is on the other side, and I am trying to figure out when to turn his crib into a toddler bed. I dont want to do it around the time when the baby comes, and he is doing pretty well in there still, so I guess I will wait a little longer. I'm in no rush :-)

Second, my friend Katie and I had a joint baby shower a few weeks ago. I usually think that just one shower for a boy, and one for a girl is polite and the custom. I was really hesitant to have a shower this time around, but my friend Danielle wanted to make sure this baby got celebrated too, and so we had a little diaper shower with some people from my ward. It was fun and simple, and we got a lot of nice necessities and some cute new clothing too. I am so grateful to everyone that helped out and came to the shower. It is fun to get new things for this little guy too, and it makes it that much more exciting to have him and to get to use everything. (Even the newborn diapers are so cute and small and look exciting lol).

only a week apart! |
Third, my little Wesley turned TWO on the 20th!!! I didn't want to have a big party or anything stressful because I was 34 weeks...around the same time I had Wesley... and I really didn't want to go into labor again that early. However, we did have a nice family party the day before. He had fun opening gifts and now knows that a wrapped present means there is usually something fun inside. He gave me a funny look when I had him help me open some baby showers gifts, and inside were diapers. To him that was not a fun gift, but to me it sure was!! :-) Anyways, we had a Very Hungry caterpillar theme and I made cupcakes shaped like a caterpillar. The caterpillar kept shrinking during the day because I kept sneaking cupcakes, lol. I am so thankful to have my sweet little Wesley in my life. He is such a blessing....even if he does know how to make me go crazy some days! lol. He makes life so much richer, and I love watching him bloom from a baby into a little boy.

I love that sweet smile! |
Lastly, I am 35 weeks tomorrow and soooo excited about that! My urge to meet this sweet little spirit is growing stronger everyday, but I still want him to stay inside for at least another 3 weeks. I am excited to meet him, but I will miss being pregnant too. I really do love having a wiggling little person inside me. However, I am finally feeling all those pregnancy pains that I missed with Wesley. Nothing too bad, and all very much worth it!

I think this picture makes me look a lot bigger than I actually feel :-) |

Wesley's hair is SO darling, I love it in these pictures!! I love how red it is and then it is also really cute how you parted it. Congrats on everything exciting happening, I love your tree and darling nursery, as well as the birthday caterpillar, and am excited about the next 1-2 months for yall!
So very sweet. I am so happy for you and Jason. New baby stuff is exciting! A new baby is even better, especially those first few weeks when they are so tiny and precious!!
Just a little note- Brock came at 37 weeks and was plump and perfect. Keep enjoying pregnancy, I know I do!
