Wesley is doing well. He had his 2 year check up, and is about 26 lbs which is in the 27th percentile, and he is about 35 inches which is in the 50th percentile, and his head is above the 100th percentile (as usual). I just keep telling myself that it is because of all his big brains! :-) He just switched from the high risk specialist doctor to a regular pediatrician since he was doing so well. He had to get blood taken, two shoots, and a TB test. The poor little guy is still all bruised from all the poking. He is doing amazing though, and is really healthy. It is amazing how much a kid learns in just two years. I can tell Wesley the name of something once, and he will remember it. He knows hundreds and hundreds of words, and Jason and I have to be so careful with what we say because he will repeat everything. He knows all his letters (even when they are upside down), he can recognize all the numbers until 10, and can almost count to 20 but messes up around 14-17. He knows all the colors, and shapes. He is also in an "ouchie" phase. Literally about 15 times a day he gets some sort of "ouchie", and comes up to me and asked me to "kiss better." Once he hit his hand on a toy (tapped on it really), so I kissed it better. He then went back and hit his hand on the toy again, and asked me again to kiss it better, and kept doing it to get more kisses, lol. He is the silliest little thing I've ever seen, and he is always keeping my family laughing. We just ordered him a little balance bike for a late birthday present, and we should get it any day now. He told us he wanted an "orange bike!" I would have picked a different color, but that is what he really wanted. He loves playing outside, and I am hoping he will have fun on his new bike.
Lastly, my brother just got engaged, so congrats to Chris and Jocelyn! I'm sure more details will come in the near future.
My two boys :-p |
We just cut Wesley's hair so we can spike it again :-) |
