I love our RV. When ever we get the itch for adventure, we just load up our camper and take it somewhere surrounded by nature. Unfortunately, lots of other people do the same. It seems like it is much harder to find an empty campsite than it is to find a vacant hotel. However, the joy of waking up in the middle of nature is worth the hassle.
In June we loaded up the RV and drove to a local campground (only about 20 minutes from our house). It was completely booked and the only site we could find was a double site (double fees). It was a lot more money than we wanted to spend, but we were already there and decided to just take what we could get. The boys had fun riding their bikes and I enjoyed the glorious scents of nature. We also kayaked a little bit, and found a GORGEOUS reservoir that I never knew existed. I love that there is so much nature so close to my home.

Blake's first time kayaking and he did great! I was worried he would float to the middle of the lake and not be able to turn around, but he controlled the kayak like a pro! |

Looks can be deceiving - the other side of this lake was super crowded |

So much happiness in one picture |
