Chase LOVES legos. He is very talented, and can sit for hours building complex lego sets. Grandma Burnell took us on a Legoland vacation a few years ago (we went a few times when the boys were little, but this was the first time that they could remember). That trip is what started Chase's lego obsession. We all had an amazing time at the legoland hotel, and I really wanted to go back to check out the new castle hotel. Legoland is only appealing to a certain age range, and all my boys are right around the perfect age. I found a great deal online (three free child tickets with the purchase of a hotel stay), so I decided to take the boys on a mini Vacation during our California trip. It was just the boys and I, and we had a really nice time. This trip was just what we needed - fresh air, green plants, sunshine, and lots of fun. We had been cooped up indoors for months (minus skiing lessons) and we REALLY needed to get outside. The park was no busy, so we got on all the rides quickly. It was cloudy and we got rained on a few times, but overall it was a beautiful day. After the park closed, we walked over to the hotel and ate dinner at the castle restaurant. After that, Chase spent the evening building his new lego set while the other boys enjoyed watching tv in their own room. I got to relax in my fluffy bed surrounded by happy children and lots of legos. I LOVE trips like these where everything just seems to run smoothly. My boys are all old enough now to behave themselves and not wander off. We all really enjoyed spending time together. It was a great day, and we made lots of fun memories!!
