February

I'm pretty sure February in Utah has 87 days in it.  Its the month that just keeps going and going!  Jason has been traveling a lot, so I have been holding down the fort over the past few months. I'm not going to lie - It has been tough. Not necessarily that he has been traveling a lot - I am used to that.  I just have been putting a lot of stress on myself (Mommy guilt is REAL), and the dark, cold days have really put me into a seasonal funk.  I may have had a mental breakdown a month ago right after Jason came home from the airport.  Everyone needs a good cry once in a while though, right?!  This blog serves as a space to journal our life.  Hopefully it is mostly full of wonderful memories, but I want to also document our challenges.  Yes, life is beautiful, but it also can be hard, and those are the times that our spirit becomes stronger. I know my posterity will want to know about the good and hard times of our life.  However, there is a time and a season for everything.  Spring is here, and hopefully the sun and warmth will soon follow!  Today is April 10th and it is snowing, however, the warmth is coming and I will enjoy the sun more than I every have in my life - that is a guarantee!

One day in February we got a massive storm.  Jason was away so I shoveled the driveway which took me well over an hour.  I was exhausted so I found a neighbor to help me snowblow the sidewalks.  It was a great workout!

I couldn't even tell where the driveway or sidewalks started/ended

This little Bug has been my ray of sunshine this winter.  He always brings a smile to my face!

I love that my two littles still love dressing up.  I'm am going to miss this stage when they outgrow it!

I really don't like making Valentine Boxes.  I feel they are a bit unnecessary (I never made them in school and I turned out ok).  However, Chase always enjoys making them and he really wanted a tank.  I have been a bit lazy this winter, but if my boy wants an army tank Valentine box, I was going to make him one!!  He helped me paint it and decorate it, and I think it turned out pretty good!

For the past ten years I have had a tooth that has been really bothering me.  About two years ago it cracked and I got an emergency crown put on.  It felt better for about six months and then the pain came back.  I HATE the dentist, and I have been avoiding them at all cost.  However, the pain finally got bad enough (and we had FSA funds we needed to use), so I bit the bullet and scheduled a root canal.  I didn't even consult with my dentist, I just called an endodontist and told them I wanted one. I was stressed out of my mind.  However, I just wanted the pain to be gone.  Hopefully I made the right choice.  The procedure was not nearly as bad as I thought.  It was painless and the hardest part was just holding my mouth and jaw open for over an hour (I have TMJ so my jaw struggles with that).  So far, the pain is 98% gone.  Once in a while that tooth is a tiny bit sensitive, but overall I feel so much better!

Fancy office!!  They even had vibrating chairs!  I listed to Enya and tried to pretend I was at the spa!

Blake was so cute and excited to fill out his Valentine cards.  He put his name on every one!
