Blaker-Bug is four

Blake is:
-Adventurous
-energetic
-sweet
-silly
-crazy
-daring
-athletic
-funny

This kid keeps me busy.  He is non-stop energy and is always on the go.  He doesn't get into lots of mischief, but he makes huge messes and doesn't like to listen to me.  He is a free spirit, and my sister in law referred to him as a free range child.  He enjoys roaming around out house, and behind our neighbor's house in the "wilderness."  He has always had his own agenda, and Blake thinks he makes all the rules.  He likes to tell his friends, "I am the boss."  He is a social butterfly and doesn't have an ounce of shyness in him yet. He loves being outside, and has gone on some pretty impressive hikes in his four short years of life. He is a great little traveler.  He has driven between Utah and California about ten times in three years plus has been on many other road trips and has visited many National Parks. He is very flexible and has learned to adapt to many different surroundings.   Blake is strong willed, but doesn't really throw tantrums (he cries and gets upset and will yell, but never has really thrown a typical tantrum).   He can be rough and tough, but this kid loves cuddles.  He loves animals, and is often seen carrying his "baby doggie" or "baby dear" around.  He often tells me how much he loves me and likes to give me big hugs.  He is always trying to keep up with his brothers, which is probably why he is so athletic and crazy.  He doesn't enjoy sitting for too long learning about letters or numbers, but is happy to play games that involve learning.  He is always moving and dancing and acting silly. He laughs all day (and has a very unique laugh that resembles a donkey).    He is a very happy kid, and he brings so much sunshine and joy into our home.  I love being able to spend time with him each day while his brother's are in school.  He loves to watch me get ready in the morning, and will stand by the heater and talk my ear off, while laughing at at himself.  He is always playing a game or trying to tell me a story.  He doesn't like to get dressed, and thinks everything is a game.  Putting on shoes, socks, PJ's and clothing turns into a long drawn out game. He laughs as he hides from me, and likes to turn into a limp noodle as I pull on his pants.  He is my silly bug, and I can't image life without him!

For his Birthday he really wanted to have a big birthday party.  I didn't plan a big friend party (I'll have to do that next year), but we had a fun family party at nickle-mania.   I took him to the store and he helped to pick out pirate decorations for our house. He really wanted to go to Chucky Cheese for his party, but Jason's coworker warned us, and said the only one in the Salt Lake Valley is in a bad neighborhood and is pretty scary inside.  The boys just wanted to play on the arcades anyway, so we went to the nickel arcade instead.  The boys loved it, and we spent a good two hours there.  Everyone won some prizes, and even Jason and I had a good time.  (except at the end when it got super busy and the noise and crowds gave me a headache).

Happy 4th Birthday sweet Blake!  We love you!

This might look like a simple cake to most - but Jason spent hours going from store to store trying to find pirate decor to go on his cake (He really wanted a pirate cake)

On his birthday he woke up to this playhouse full of presents
