Jason's brother Alex and his cute family moved to Wyoming last winter and lived about 1.5 hours away from us. Unfortunately, they moved during the craziest winter on record. We didn't get a chance to see them much, and they ended up moving to Washington just 6 months after moving to Wyoming. However, we did have a few fun outing with them. Blake enjoyed playing with his cousin Maesen.
Saying goodbye to Oak Hollow - it was a good school, but the boys are moving to a charter school in the Fall |

The boys took swimming lessons at our local outdoor pool. Unfortunately, there was a thunderstorm almost every night during the two weeks of their lessons. A few times the boys had to get out of the water due to lightning. They had tons of fun, but I don't think they really improved much.
The boys participated in our cities children's bike parade for Draper Days.
Blake enjoyed painting his nails like mommy |
One day (while Jason was gone of course), our upstairs toilet had the WORST clog I've ever seen. It overflowed nasty poop water ALL over the bathroom. I plunged that toilet on and off for HOURS. I was so sore the next day. It was ridiculous. I'm still disgusted by this incident almost 6 months later.
My best friend from high school/college came for a visit. She moved to Utah from California many years ago. I missed her like crazy, and always wanted to live by her. When we finally moved up to Utah, her family moved to Colorado!!!
Our city puts on a big celebration every year called Draper Days. We have missed it every year due to being on vacation, but this year we were home and able to enjoy the parade, carnival, and fireworks.
We went to a local park with some friends and had a really fun evening full of music, ice cream, and fireworks |

Slime making is always a fun summer activity
Another tradition that Wesley has loved since he was a toddler is playing with shaving cream. Usually we bring out the slip n slide and have a fun day of water and shaving cream, but Wesley just wanted to smear it all over himself.

Kangaroo Zoo fun
More slime
We watched movies on our lawn with the neighbors a few times during the summer. This is one of the kid's favorite things to do on a warm evening.
