End of the school year fun

In our neck of the woods, the end of the school year brings a lot of fun! Here is a look at some of the fun we had at the beginning of Summer.

Museum of curiosity is always a favorite with the kids!

Silly scientist Wesley

Blake is an active little guy, and loves anything that moves.  He is really got at driving his power wheel and loves taking it all over the neighborhood

Chase started scouts after he turned 6, and he enjoys being a Tiger!

Fun in the swing with our neighbor friend

Summer means we get to bring out our water slide!

Wesley and Chase's school last year had a big end of the year celebration/field day.  They had laser tag, a snow cone truck, inflatables, dunk tank with the teachers, music, and much more.  Its such a fun way to end the year! I volunteered to help chaperone a few kindergarten kids, so Blake was also able to tag along and have some fun too.  That kid was more adventurous than many of the kindergartners!

We also went to airborne to celebrate a friend's birthday.

Not only does the school put on a big field day, but our ward/neighborhood puts on a big end of the school year party as well.  They had air rockets (blake's favorite part), a HUGE water slide, dunk tank (Wesley's favorite part was being IN the dunk tank), food, and lots of games.

Also, as usual, we had to go on some hikes!  Our ward started a Summer hiking group.  We only went on one hike with that group because Blake is slower in the back while Wesley likes to zoom ahead which is hard to manage in a big group.  Our first hike was gorgeous though and one of my favorite local hikes.

Another end of the school year hike we completed was the Ghost Falls hike near the Draper temple.  This one is tricky to find, and at one time Wesley had to stop because he was not feeling well.  Jason went ahead with the other two and I stayed with Wesley.  When he felt better, we continued, but I took a wrong turn and went the wrong direction.  Jason had to come find us, and Chase proudly showed me the correct way to go.  Now Wesley doesn't ever want to hike with me alone because he is afraid I'm going to get him lost - which is probably true ha ha ha
