I always heard Summer Vacation goes fast, but holy moly - it really does fly. This was our first real Summer Vacation, and I wanted to make sure the boys made some fun memories. In California, I always dreaded the Summer. You walk outside during a heat wave (there are a lot of those), and you feel like your skin is going to melt off your body. We usually stayed inside with the AC, and only went outside if absolutely necessary. In Utah, the Summer has been really pleasant. Its hot, but not boiling hot. The boys have played outside every single day, and have been loving every minute. For once, I've actually enjoyed the Summer. I know it is going to get cold...very cold..in just a few months, so we have been embracing the heat. Kiddie pools, slip n slides, splash pads, sprinklers, water balloons, water guns, bike riding, lots of fun trips, and so on. Its been a GREAT Summer, but I am excited for School and the new experiences my kid's will receive there. I'm also super excited for Autumn. Its my favorite time of the year! I'll split this into a few posts since we have been pretty busy, and I hardly have time to update this anymore.

Our neighbor friend Erin comes to play almost every day. The boys love her. |
Wesley had to get 3 teeth pulled because his big teeth were coming in, and his little teeth were not falling out. It turns out those three baby teeth had pretty big roots. I'm REALLY hoping he doesn't need all his baby teeth pulled because of that. Look at the cute dentist office though!

Cute Blake loves his baby |
We have been visiting A LOT of museums. I will have to make a museum post, but here the boys got to ride horses at Farm Country.

We went to a few splash pads this Summer |

Blake loves "mowing" the grass |
 |
We set out our screen and projector and watched a movie on the lawn. The boys had a blast, but Jason got eaten my mosquitoes. |

What is Summer without watermelon?! |

Our ward had a lot of play dates at different parks this Summer. One week we went to a park that had a stream running though it. So fun! Utah has a lot of pretty parks.
We signed Wesley up for a week long Summer camp at the local Catholic school/church. We have a family down the street with three boys - the exact ages as my boys - and they are so sweet. They go to that church, and told us about the camp. I think Wesley wasn't too excited to find out it was a church camp, but after the first day, he had a really good time. It was only three hours a day, and it was good for him to have this experience. |

We had free bowling coupons, and I was really excited to take the boys. However, Blake was running around all over, and the boys got board really fast. We didn't even finish our second game, and ended up leaving early. It was worth a shot! |

Blake watching his brother's bowl. He is not one to sit still longer than a minute though, and he was off to explore the building. This kid keeps me busy! |

Wesley LOVES water balloons, and Jason bought him this neat filling device so Wesley can fill them and tie them himself. |
By the end of the day, the boys are almost always covered in water or mud.
It was our 10 year wedding anniversary. We still haven't gone on a trip yet, but we did go out to eat at an interesting Brazilian Restaurant. It was pretty pricy, and not somewhere I would want to go to often, but it was fun to try!
For the fourth of July, we got to see the fireworks ALL over the valley from our street. Since people start lighting them days before Independence Day, we got a good show. On the actual holiday, we went to my cousin's house and had fun setting some off ourselves. It was really windy, so we didn't get to light as many as we wanted, but I was pretty excited! It was a new experience!

Getting ready to watch fireworks from the truck. |

I always like making fun things from pinterest. These were cinnamon roll pancakes. They were completed with a glaze instead of syrup. Yum! |
Utah gets SOOOOOOO much rain. I feel like there was a good storm almost every week this summer. It was crazy! Crazy Awesome!
