Beach House

For Memorial Day weekend, we stayed at a beach house near Morro Bay with Jason's mom and his sister and her three kids.  I was really nervous to go since it is over a four hour drive, but Blake did amazing both there and back, which is a huge blessing.  We left really late Friday night after Jason came home from Hawaii.  He had been gone for two weeks, and literally came straight from the airport, packed his stuff in the car, and we left at 11:30 at night. We got to the beach house around 3:30 in the morning.  Wesley was sooo excited, that he stayed up almost the entire drive!! Once we got there, ALL the kids were wide awake, and I was exhausted.  Luckily, we finally got the kids to bed around 4 am (even though Chase was jumping on the bed), but Blake was up at his normal early time around 7am, so I didn't get much sleep that night.  It was a busy and crazy weekend with all six kids.  They had a blast though, and the view from the house was AMAZING.  I was the only one up early each morning since Blake is an early riser and everyone else sleeps in (well, Wesley and Chase wake up early too).  As much as I wanted to sleep in with the rest of the house, it was nice being able to sit in the living room, alone with Blake, watching the beautiful ocean.

View from the living room.  We just had to walk down some steps, and we were right at the beach!

Can you see the horses in the background?  There were soo many horses that walk along this beach!

This boy was SOOOO excited to be at the beach.  He is such a little beach bum!

I was really nervous about Blake getting sunburned since he can't wear sunscreen, but I did a pretty good job of keeping him covered.  He did not like the wind on his face though.

With no baby swing, Blake got to hang out near the window with the awesome view if I needed to put him down.

Awesome castle Daddy built.  You can see the house in the background too (it is the small one with the long stair case)

Chase loves playing in the sand, but hates going in the cold water
Wesley, on the other hand, LOVES the water, and runs right in no matter how cold
