-Wesley likes to narrate everything he does, and it is usually pretty funny to listen to. Today he went pee in his little toilet and he does really well at dumping it in the big toilet (most the time). Today I went in there and watched him, and overhead his conversation to himself. While dumping his pee he said, "Wow, this sounds like a water fall" Then smiles big and while kind of laughing at himself said, "Noooooo...it just sounds like pee pee going in the toilet." He then slowly lowers the lid, and his fingers get stuck. "wait a minute....not on my fingers!" He then pulls his fingers out, "there we go!" (with a really enthusiastic voice).
-Another time I overheard Wesley talking to himself outside (he does this all the time). W: "Wait a minute!!! What is that noise I hear? It is a lizard!! Oh my gosh!!" He also likes to talk to the birds, and the bugs, and the trees and the rocks. Pretty much anytime I overhear him talking, it is usually really cute and comical.
-A phrase he uses quite often is, "Oh wow...that is the littlest (or biggest/tallest/shortest/etc) ________ I've EVER SEEN!!!" The blank can be anything from a bug to a piece of food to something we see on a walk, and so on. He gets soo excited too when he says it.
- me: "Wesley...you have the most beautiful hair I've ever seen!" W:" No, Mommy...YOU have the most beautiful hair!!"
-While looking at my tummy flab he says, " WOW......that is HUGE!!!!" He then proceeds to mush it while laughing loudly.
-I know I posted this on facebook, but I am pretty sure I didn't put it on my blog. I asked Wesley to clean up his toys and he said, "I can't, I need help!!" Me, "why?" W: "Look...I have itty bitty teeny tiny hands!!"
- Whenever Wesley has any sort of ailment (hic-ups, cut, tummy ache, hunger pains, and so on...) he knows exactly what he needs to feel better. W: "I dont feel good, I need strawberries to feel better." or "I dont feel good (hic- ups) I need medicine to feel better. What medicine will make me feel better?" or "I have an ouchie, I need candy to feel better."
-Chase had a fever today and was not feeling well. Normally Chase laughs at Wesley when he acts silly, but not today. W: "Why isn't Chase laughing?' me: " Chase does not feel well" W: "Does he have throw up?" Me: "No, he doesn't. He just doesn't feel very well" W: "Make him better, and make him happy, and make him laugh." me: "I dont know if I can. Can you make him better?" W: "I will tickle him!!" *tickles him* W:" aww...he is still not better. I will give him this toy. See...Now he is happy! The throw up is all gone!" It was just cute how concerned he was with Chase not feeling well, and he really wanted to make him happy and to make him laugh.
-Last night as we were coming home from the beach Wesley says, "Mommy... I don't feel good. I need to throw up. I need a tissue." Now, Wesley has told me on a few occasions while driving that he didn't feel good and needed to throw up, but never does. He gets really bad car sickness, and has thrown up on many, many cars rides. Jason is becoming quite the pro at cleaning up Wesley's puke. However, he has never been able to tell me before hand that he has had to throw up. So, I hand him a tissue thinking maybe he just needs to wipe his nose. As soon as I give it to him, he holds it to his mouth and throws up all over. I felt so bad, but it was cute that he tried really hard to catch it in something to try to not make a mess.
I love my silly, smart little guy! |
