Jason's family planned a fun trip down to San Diego for the week and invited us to join them. Jason was traveling and couldn't go, and I was a little concerned about going down there by myself with my two little guys for the whole week. I still wanted to do something with all of them, so I drove down to stay in their hotel for one night so we could all go to Lego Land together the next morning. We had a lot of fun! We went to the beach the first night to have a picninc, and there was a big storm that was supposed to come in. We could see it in the distance getting closer, and we started feeling raindrops. We hurried back to the car and packed the kids in before it started raining harder. However, I dont think the rain really got heavy until later that night. The next morning we went to Lego Land, and had a really fun time. Some highlights of the trip:
-Wesley went on his first roller coaster, and loved it! He thought it was fun that Mommy and him could scream together.
-Chase LOVED the sand at the beach and had a smile of pure delight as he buried his chubby little hands in the sand, and then scooped it into his mouth. Yummy!
-We ate at a cute restaurant at Lego Land that over looked a cute lake and was surrounded by beautiful flowers.
-At first a lot of the rides we approached were for older kids. I was
getting a little worried that Lego Land would turn out to be an
expensive walk around the park. However, there turned out to be a lot
of rides he could go on, and he had a lot of fun. I enjoyed all the
large figurines made out of legos. My one complaint is that they all
looked really old and were faded, dirty, or missing pieces. They need
to clean them up a bit to make them a little more attractive. However,
it was a really cute Amusement Park and we had fun.
-After Lego Land closed, we went back to the beach so the adults could sit and relax, and so the kids could play for a few minutes while traffic died down. We were the only ones on the beach, besides a few joggers. It was perfect, and we left just at the right time to beat any traffic.

Chase LOVED the beach! |

He was amazed by the sand |

The storm coming in. It was beautiful though! There were even whales in the water that we could see! |
 |
Can you see his face? Look closely..it is hysterical. The kids have to drive these cars by themselves, and Wesley had no idea what he was doing and kept crashing into the wall. |
 |
He looks like such a big boy! This was the pretty view we had while eating lunch! |
 |
Always looking at Wesley.... |

This was a fun water ride that shoots water out of that gun. I enjoyed it, and we got soaked! |
 |
Lots of cute lego statues! |

We took turns watching the two babies while the older kids went on the rides. They did really well waiting, and even tried holding hands during one of the rides :-) |
