Out of the mouth of toddlers

Wesley is a talker.  A BIG talker.  He is always saying silly things, and I keep thinking, "I'm going to have to write that down!" Yet, I dont usually get around to it.  Here are a few silly/sweet things he has said/done that I can remember.

 -Wesley received some glow in the dark planets that stick on the wall from Jason's mom.  I was putting them up, telling him the name of each one.  I said, " This one is Venus, and this one is Uranus."  He then said, "I like Planets.... penis and anus!!" 

-I had pieces of cut up papers on my floor as I was making some craft thing, and there was a sheet of paper with a square cut out of the top left side.  Wesley picked it up and said, "Look...its a Utah!!!"  Its amazing how kids can see something once, remember it, and see the same shape in everyday things. 

-Every day, as soon as he wakes up he says, "Mommy, I have a good sleep."  And many times throughout the day he will stop and ask, "Mommy, How is your day today?" in his little high pitched squeaky voice.  He is really interested in my day.  It is one of those sweet, happy mommy moments.  :-)

-  Many times when Chase is taking our attention away from Wesley, he has asked, "Please put Chase back in mommy's tummy!" 

- My mom was over and I told him to go 'jump in Grandma's lap' so she could read him a story or something. He goes over, sits in her lap, and starts jumping on her :-) 

- After he went to the dentist (which was a horrible experience where he pretty much kicked and screamed the whole time), he would mention in his prayers, "I grateful for yelling and screaming at the dentist and doctors!"

- When ever my Dad blows his nose loudly, Wesley shakes and runs away saying, " Ahhh!  I'm scared!  I'm scared of Papa!!" 

 -He gets sooo excited over everything.  He loves life, and even the smallest things get him excited.  I have been trying to teach him about nature, and the beauty of the earth.  He has picked up on my 'environmental enthusiasm' and many times he will see our pretty mountains, or a picture of a river, or something like that and say in his excited voice, "Ohhh...look how beautiful!!"  or "Thats BEAUTIFUL!!!"  One Sunday, Bro. Patterson (A bishopric member whom Wesley Adores) was walking him around the church building.  Every time they got to a door, Wesley was soooo excited to see a door knob.  He would loudly and enthusiastically exclaim, "LOOK!!!  Another Door Knob!!"  He did that to each door, and was just as excited to see each one. 

-One Sunday a man behind us was sleeping, or at least had his eyes closed, and Wesley looked at him and said real loud, "He's sleeping!!!!  Wake Up!!!"

-I have mentioned this one to some people before, and it is probably one of my favorites.  Chase was only a month or so old, and I was nursing him on the couch.  Wesley has always been very curious about everything.  He sat down next to me, and with a look of curiosity, and worry he watched Chase eat for a minute.  Finally he got up and yelled, "Ohhhhh NOOOOO!!!!  DADDY.......... Chase is eating the boob!!!!!!!" He was really, really worried!!
