A little bit of everything

Jason and I just got back from Washington DC (which will get a post of its own), but until then I will load up pictures of random happenings from the last month.  I'll start with the most recent...Halloween.  Since Jason and I had been gone for nine days, and returned from our trip only days before Halloween, we really didn't do too much.  We went to our church party, but Wesley was having a hard time that night since we had just returned hours earlier.  Any time one of us left his sight he got very upset, and just progressively got more fussy as the night continued.   On Halloween night, we were still kind of recovering from our trip, and pretty tired.  We were still adjusting to the time change, and I had a little cold.  We were going to stay in and hand out candy, but every time someone came to the door Wesley wanted to go and see who it was, and wanted to go outside too.  I thought he might have fun going on a little walk, so I quickly put his costume on, and we went for a small walk around the block.  After a little coaching, he finally started to say "or treat"  very quietly, but never when the people opened their door.  He liked to look in his bucket to see his loot.  We only walked down the street, because honestly...he doesn't really eat most of the candy, and I was getting a little board.  Maybe next year will be more exciting when he gets excited to go out :-)  However, I do believe he was the cutest little frog around!  :-)

Going though his candy

Wesley amazes me everyday.  When we returned back from our trip, Wesley had started singing the "ABC's"  He can sing up to G, and can recognize a good amount of letters.  He also can count to 10, and can recognize all of those numbers.  He would be happy if all I did was read to him and teach him his letters and numbers and colors all day long.  I hope his desire to learn continues throughout his life.  He still is being very picky about what he eats.  Up until about a month ago, he ate anything.  Now, he will only eat a very few select things.  He doesn't want to use a spoon, and because of that we have some pretty messy meal times.  One of his favorite foods is (was) blueberries (which he suddenly refused to eat yesterday). He sure had fun with them a few days ago:

I was craving Souplantation really bad while we were gone in DC.  Unfortunately, they dont have any over there :-(  We just had to go for my birthday dinner the day after we came back.  I love that Wesley is big enough to eat all the food, but young enough to still get in free!  I made him a tray full of a variety of many different kinds of food, and he spent the entire time going through everything.  Half of it ended up in the floor because he is in the "I want to throw everything I dont want to eat on the floor" stage.  However, it kept him occupied, which is a very good thing because he tends to get super fussy if he sits in one place more that a few minutes.  They also have little tiny ice cream cones, and he LOVED them! Look at that big smile!

Another favorite is peaches :-)

And just because it is funny...I caught him doing some baby yoga the other day...

As far as a pregnancy update...I am feeling better, and my morning sickness is slowly going away.  I still have some nights where I dont feel well, but I feel MUCH better than I did weeks ago.  My mother in law bought be a fetal doppler for my birthday, and it has been fun to listen to the heart beat when ever I want to check up on the little one.  I can't believe I am already 14 weeks, and into the second trimester.  I still feel so far away form the due date, but I dont want to wait too long to prepare.  I didn't have anything ready for Wesley when he came early, and I would like to have a lot more set up for this baby in case he/she decides to also come early.  This is not a very good quality picture, but it shows my small baby bump at almost 14 weeks.  I'm at the stage where I just look like I ate too much, but it is still fun :-)
