5 years!

On May 28th, Jason and I Celebrated 5 years of marriage! To celebrate, Jason arranged for us to go on a little vacation to Las Vegas.

Highlights:
--Seeing Phantom of the Opera in awesome seats. Amazing, amazing performance!
--Taking a tour of hoover Dam, and standing on top of its magnificence.
--Going into the Pawn shop filmed on the tv show "Pawn Stars" on the History channel.
--Eating really yummy food in the buffets, and eating lots of desserts! mmmmm...sugar.....
--Seeing the pretty water fountains at the Bellagio Hotel
--Walking around all the pretty shops inside the Venitian, and in Paris. I love the 'sky' ceiling!!
--getting to ride the monorail all over.
--Staying in a nice, clean, smoke free hotel
--getting to sleep in (well...kind of...my body is so used to waking up early I had a hard time sleeping past 8 or 9).
--Visiting two little abandoned towns on the way home. We took the back route instead of the 15, and got to see a lot of pretty Desert views.
--relaxing with my hubby!

Lowlights:
--Waiting over 30 minutes on a bridge, next to smoke and yucky guys spiting on the ground for what we thought was going to be a fun pirate show. It ended up being a yucky, sleezy show with skankily clad women pretending to be sirens seducing pirates.
--All the yucky smoke inside the casinos. You have to walk through what seems like miles of casinos to get to the restaurants and the shops.
--Half naked women walking around everywhere....seriously....put clothes on.....
--Scummy guys passing out naughty cards on the sidewalks. Ewww....they made me so mad!!!
--Missing my little squishy boy :-)
--stepping on a desert plant that placed tiny hair-like thorns all over my legs. We had to find a store that sold duct tape to pull them out. :-p lol...kind of funny now....

Overall, I had a lot of fun. It was a fun adventure. Its hard to believe it has been 5 years. In October, it will be 10 years since we started dating!!! Crazy!!! 5 years down, eternity to go!!!!

We stopped at the little abandoned city of Amboy on our way home. Jason thinks the movie "Cars" was based of a city like this. Some of the doors to the old abandoned motel were open, so I took a look inside. :-)
