Preemie?? What Preemie?

Wesley had his 4 month checkup yesterday, and he now weighs 14.5 lbs. That puts him almost in the 50th percentile, which means he has caught up to those his age, and is now average size! I really can't believe it. It is amazing how fast he has grown, and how well he is doing. He still has to see a high risk specialist instead of a regular doctor because of how sick he was, but he really seems to be doing very well! He is such a cute, funny guy. His new favorite trick is sticking out his tongue, and trying to blow bubbles. I cant help by smile every time he does that! He is almost always smiling and 'talking.' He just coos and babbles every chance he gets. He loves to look around, and hates sitting in a position where he can't see what is going on in the room. He loves going new places as long as he can see everything. Sometimes this makes it hard, because he often wants to be held over the shoulder or outwards so he can observe everyone. He has always been very observant since the NICU. He just loves to take in the world. He is going to be a smart little guy!

I am soo blessed because he is a great sleeper. As of about a month and a half ago, I never have problems with him going to bed at night. I put him down around 9, and he sleeps until 5ish, sometimes 6. He does wake up in the middle of the night, but he always goes back to sleep after a few minutes of wiggling. I tried to put him in his crib in his own room because he is sleeping so well, but he didn't like that too much. He will probably stay in his bassinet until he outgrows it (which is going to happen real soon!)

For forth of July we watched the fireworks over the lake near out house. It was nice because they were far enough away that they didn't scare Wesley (He slept through them all) but close enough that we saw them pretty well. I also chopped my hair off . It was time for a change! I love it...it is much cooler!
