dirt, babies, and houses

Every Friday afternoon my soil morphology class goes out and "plays" in the dirt. It is fun, and hard work at times. Next weekend we are going on a three day trip up north. We will camp one night, and the next we will stay in a research station. The picture below was in the box Springs mountains, next to UCR.

SO, last weekend we traveled over to Yucca Valley to see my little cousin get blessed. She is a miracle baby, and it was fun to meet her for the first time.
This is my silly aunt Mila. We have fun together :)

Lastly, about out house situation. Well, we put in a few offers. We received a counter offer on one house, and accepted it. SO, almost every day Jason would go over and water the grass to get it green by the time we moved in. The house was only a street away from us now. Well, the more I saw it, the more I realized I was not crazy about it. It was nice, but I was not in love. We decided to cancel, and are still looking. It is hard trying to find that diamond in the rough, but I know it is out there somewhere..... :)
