"I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers" - Anne of Green Gables
A visit to the Mountains - even when its cold and rainy and my entire family is grumpy, is one of my most favorite things in life. The beautiful trees fill my soul with so much happiness. This right here is heaven.
One of my dreams came true on this fabulous day in the mountains. On this day I not only got to see a gorgeous male moose up close - he was also there with a baby and a female moose (that I couldn't get a good picture of). Heaven I tell you - this life right now is Heaven!
We had a WILD hail storm that covered our lawn in a think layer of hail. The noise alone was terrifying, but the sight was beautiful. After it stopped hailing, I had to quickly check my car and house for damage - both were luckily unharmed.
I love Autumn and Halloween. Its the best time of the year. Halloween is one of those holidays where I don't have to attend awkward family parties. I don't have to hug a bunch of people. I don't have to stress about giving everyone gifts, and I don't have to worry about cooking a fancy dinner. We just get to decorate and have FUN!!! (And scare people). The leaves are gorgeous, the air is cool. Really - there is no better holiday!

Chase participated in Fall soccer which he didn't really enjoy. It was a different league than last time, and Chase doesn't like change. He got through it though...barely.
Utah has the best Fall activities. One of our favorites is the witch festival at Gardner village (and its free!)
Another favorite is the scarecrow festival at Thanksgiving Point. Every time we go anywhere (no matter how fun the activity), I usually have one boy that is not very excited, while another one is thrilled. Or, they complain during the entire car ride, and then when we arrive, everyone is magically excited to be there. Kids!
On this day, Wesley was really enthusiastic and had a ton of fun taking pictures with all his favorite scarecrows (which were most of them).
