Tesla, Snow, and duct tape

Wesley got to participate in a living museum at his new school.  He choose Nikola Tesla as his hero,  and he was the cutest Tesla I have ever seen.  He set up a little station in the gym, and  he had to give a little presentation about his hero to all the students and teachers at school. He did very well, and I may or may not have embarrassed him by taking a ton of pictures as he gave his report to other students.

A little science humor - Tesla vs. Edison

Utah weather is CRAZY.  One day its warm and sunny - the next day we have two feet of snow on the ground. However, we have had such little snow this winter that the few storms we have received were welcomed with much excitement.

In Utah there are a lot of birthday parties.  Small-ones, fancy-ones, in-home ones, at event center ones.  I think its awesome, and it gives the boys many opportunities to met new people and to experience many different settings one their own.  For the past few years Wesley and Chase have been invited to numerous parties, but not Blake.  Now that Blake is getting older he has finally been invited to his first major party.  It was a cute little party held at our neighbor's house.  He loved it and is looking forward to many more parties over the years!

Speaking of parties... Blake turned four in February (I posted about that a few weeks ago...I'm a bit out of order on my timing).  We made him a birthday chain (its a fun birthday tradition I did as a kid, and I have continued the tradition with my kids). It is so simple, yet my boys get so excited to make one, and then pull one chain each day until their birthday.

I love this age - they are still so sweet and excited about everything and don't have attitudes yet.

When we first moved here we bought an old beat up bounce house for $30.  This thing has more duct tape on it than fabric, but it has somehow survived four years of abuse.  Each time I bring it out I patch up more and more holes. My boys and the neighborhood kids love it though, and on cool days they can spend hours in it.  It finally got a huge tear in the bottom, and even with lots of duct tape it doesn't hold air well.   Jason bought a nice industrial one recently, so we will have to say goodbye to 'ol blue.
