I hope my boys can look back on their life with much fondness as they think of all the fun memories they had. This Christmas I tried to not go overboard. In California we had so much family nearby that the boys spent all day at different houses opening tons of presents. I didn't buy them much because I knew family was going to spoil them. Now that we are in Utah, Christmas is much quieter. Family still sends lots of amazon packages, but I always feel the need to go overboard since we don't have any family to visit on Christmas day up here. However, I did tone it down a notch this year.
Chase came down with the flu the night of the 21st. He was miserable, and I was terrified the other boys were going to get sick on Christmas. Poor Chase stayed in bed all day from the 22nd to the 24th. I loaded him up on homeopathic medicine, essential oils, and Ibuprofen. Thankfully, he was feeling better on Christmas and was able to enjoy most of the day with us. He started feeling unwell again around dinner and went to bed early, but I'm so grateful he had a good Christmas and that no one else got sick.
This was the first year since moving here that it didn't snow on Christmas. There is something so magical about waking up on Christmas morning to a winter wonderland. I was pretty disappointed that we had a mild Christmas, however, Blake got to ride his new bike outside so it ended up working out just fine.
Santa brought me candy sushi. It was actually really fun to prepare, and the only sushi I will eat!
Our Yummy Christmas dinner. It might not look like much, but it was one of the best dinners I've had in a long time.
