Blake's third Birthday

My sweet little Blake turned three in february.  This kid is full of spunk, love, silliness, adventure, and cuddles.  He is full of energy, but is able to sit still pretty well when he needs to.  Some things I always want to remember about Blake at this age:

--He loves to pretend to be a puppy or kitty.  He will make these high pitched funny noises, and will crawl around on his hands and knees or crawl into my lap and rub his face on mine.  Sometimes he transforms into these animals when I'm getting him dressed or trying to put him to bed.

--  He is a great little hiker.  He has been on many hikes since he was small (and we never had a backback for him, so he was always carried, or had to walk himself).  Even though he complains sometimes, and is slow - this kid can hike!  He has done quite a few over three miles, and usually all on his own.  He has an adventurous spirit,  and loves to try new and daring things.

--He is a very picky eater.  He has gotten a little better over the last year, but he still won't eat 80% of the dinners I make.  He has to have a z-bar and milk when he wakes up...every day.

--He loves being outside, and has a lot of friends in the neighborhood.  One of his best friends lives across the street, and he will go over there and ring his door bell and play out there with his friend.

--He has crazy awesome skills on the balance bike.  He learned how to ride his bike really fast, and is really good at it.  We live on a hill and he used to love to ZOOM down the hill at high speeds, and would always steer and stop at just the right times.

---He has the cutest laugh.  Jason says it sounds like the donkey laugh on Pinocchio.  LOL!

--He still struggles with correctly pronouncing some sounds, so he goes to speech therapy once a week at an elementary school.  Its kind of like a mini, one hour a week preschool class.  It is only during the school year, and he gets a break during the summer.

--He tells me all the time, "I sure love you!!!"

--He always tries to keep up with his big brothers.  Physically, I think he is advanced compared to where my other boys were at this age because he is always trying to do what his brothers do.  He sure loves them, but boy, they know how to push each other's buttons!

For his birthday he wanted pirate decorations, so I took him to a party store and let him pick out a few things to put on the table.  The day before his birthday, I took him out to the mall, just the two of us, and treated him to some Chick fil A.  After, we went to Build a bear, and he got to build his own dog.  He loves dogs, and was in absolute heaven.  I don't think I've seen a kid so excited to get a stuffed animal before.  On his birthday, we all went to Jungle Jims - a cheesy mini indoor amusement center.  The boys all had a really good time going on the rides over and over (all six of them lol).  I love this age because everything is exciting and new - no matter what it is.  Everything is an adventure, and three year olds sure make life more fun!  I'm so happy Blake was born into our family!  He makes my life so much better, and I'm thankful everyday for his sweet little spirit.
