Seasons

Its so fun living in a state that actually has seasons.  Don't get me wrong...I miss California for MANY reasons, but Utah has WAY better seasons.  I'm not just talking about the leaves changing color (which is amazing), but the excitement in the air.  There are fall festivals ALL over.  The weather is cool and crisp.  Everyone seems to celebrate and take advantage of each season.  The Winter is COLD, but beautiful.  Everyone helps each other shovel snow.  We can go sledding in out backyard.  In the Spring, the trees come to life.  The flowers pop out of the ground almost overnight, and the grass begins to turn green.  Kids come out to play, and farmer's markets start up again. Summer is hot, but not too hot.  We can play outside, and not feel like our skin will melt off our bones like in California.

We had lots of fun this past fall.  We went to Thanksgiving's point Cornbellies (a fun Halloween carnival).  The boys LOVED it.  I also took Wesley and Blake to a scarecrow festival at Thanksgiving point.  Chase didn't want to go (I think he didn't want to walk all over).  Wesley loved it.  Blake just wanted to hold his hand, so Wesley reluctantly was being a very sweet and patient big brother.  There were so many fun things to see and do.

Jason's coworker loves rocks as much as Wesley.  He gave Wesley a HUGE bucket of geodes, and Wesley was in heaven breaking them all open.

Scarecrow festival:

We live on a mountainside, so we get lots of deer.  The boys and I get SOOO excited when we see one!  All my neighbors are used to them, but I don't think I'll ever get used to them.  They are so beautiful!

One night in October I took the boys to our cities "Haunted Hollow."  It was just a mini Halloween carnival.  It was pretty lame, but the did enjoy the free train ride.  Wesley dressed up in one of his coustumes he wore years ago.  It didn't fit him too well, but I'm learning to pick my battles, lol.

A fun Monster costume Chase made in preschool.

Chase with his cute preschool class.  His school had a pumpkin hunt one day.  There were pumpkins hidden all over the playground, and each kid got to pick their own.  It was very fun!

This was Chase the day of his school Halloween party.  He is the cutest mailman I've ever seen!  :-)

Gorgeous trees ALL over.

Even the Ivy on our back wall changed colors!
