AHH!! I take soo many pictures, I just can't possibly keep up on here. I wonder what I will do when my kids are grown, and I have years upon years of pictures. And thus many hard drives to hold them all...how in the world am I going to be able to organize everything and sort though everything? The digital world is an addicting, and scary place, lol. I already have my pictures backed up on three hard drives. They are my most precious possessions (after my kids of course!) and I would be devastated if something happened to them! Anyways.... after that completely random off topic blurb, onto the post....
I have alwyas wanted to go to the parade in downtown Ontario. It is not a fancy parade, but they have one every fourth of July, and I have missed it every...single...year. This year, we decided to finally go, and it was a good experience for both the kids, and myself :-) Once we figured out where to sit, it was a lot of fun. Wesley LOVED the instruments in the marching band, and would call out all the ones he recognized "I see drums!! And a saxophone!!! And horns!! Where is the violin?!" They also had a lot of old cars, and other simple floats. The parade lasted like 1.5 hours or more, and it kept the kids entertained for the most part. We bought little flags for the kids so they could wave them at the floats that passed by. At the end of the parade, I noticed a lady sitting next to us with a box of free puppies. Wesley held one, and wanted to keep her sooo bad. He was in love. She was really cute, and I was sooooo close to keeping her. However, I talked myself out of it, and I knew she just wasn't the right fit for us. We ended up going to the shelter the next day "just to look" and got a cute dog that is perfect for our family. We will save that for another post though. So, later that evening, we went to out usual spot at the Clarmont colleges to watch the fireworks from a big grassy field. Unfortunately, the field was all torn up so we had to find a sopt in between some dorm rooms. It actually worked out nicely. We were the only ones sitting in that area, so the kids were able to run around and make as much noise as they wanted with out disturbing anyone. They also fought over who got to push Chase around in his car. Chase didn't care who pushed him...he was happy as could be as long as he was moving. We are going to be in big trouble when he is 16. :-) We didn't see the fireworks as well from that spot, but the kids loved them anyways. It was a very enjoyable 4th, and I loved spending it with my family.

I love how is is staring at me...biggest mama's boy ever :-) |

This makes me laugh. Owen, Leah and Wesley are pulling on Chase's car so hard while fighting over who gets to push him that they are tipping him! It is funny that Chase doesn't notice |
