Recently, people have come up to me and said some pretty funny comments. Here are some of my favorites:
--A woman standing in line at Target looked at Wesley and said, "GEZZ...You SURE are chubby, aren't ya???!!!" Normally that is cute to say to a baby, but I wasn't so sure about a toddler. I'm glad he didn't understand what she was saying. ( I've received tons of chubby comments, and I love chubby babies...especially since he was so skinny at birth. It was just they way she said it, which I could never portray on a blog, lol. )
--A little girl about 6 or 7 years old came up to Wesley and said, "He has orange hair!" I said, "ya, he does!" She then crinkled up her nose and said, "it looks funny...." Um....thanks? lol Gotta love the honesty of kids!
--Another little girl (8 years old) looked at Wesley's hair with a puzzled look on her face. She then asked me if I died his hair to make it red. I guess kids now-a-days aren't used to seeing red hair very much.
--A man came up and said, "WOW...he has a big head." There are so many comments I could have made, but of course I didn't think of any until later :-p
--Another guy came up and said, "he looks a lot like my son!" I thought that was a nice comment, but then he kept talking..."you know...with that HUGE cranium!" I think he tried to make it sound better and then said, "well..my son's was even bigger", and he cupped his hands around his head, "like....massive..." Seriously...what do I say to that? Ha...I just have to laugh!
However, most of the time, people say really sweet comments...a lot more than silly ones. So, what are some of the silly things people have said to you? I bet a book could be made about this topic!

My rule with chubby comments... its just fine until they are about 3 1/2... up until that point (maybe even older) kids can be chubby and are adorable. In fact, you want them chubby until about 3, so don't be offended. And, all of my nieces and nephews have big heads, and it makes them all the cuter! I hope my kid has a big head in fact.
Haha, people are so funny. At least you know Wesley is adorable even if people do say weird things . . . And just wait til one day it's him saying things to other moms about their kids! Haha I am so scared for that. My favorite is when kids in our neighborhood look at my tummy (which still has some shrinking to do) and look all confused and say "wait . . . is there still a baby in your tummy?"
Sometimes I wonder how many people actually THINK before speaking! I understand with kids, but with adults sometimes it's just annoying. :) Just know you aren't alone and we've all gotten comments like that!!
Wesley and Dagny have the "orange" hair in common. I totally understand the weird comments on that side. I've been asked several time if I color her hair. So I made my hair red, and now everyone just thinks she got my hair color haha.
He's a cutie. I don't think he's cubby, he's just hug-able :)
That's so funny!! It's good that you just laugh- especially since Wesley IS so cute! People don't mean to be rude, but sometimes we all say little things like that. I love his hair by the way!
