Wesley bunny, and trip to the NICU

Last year during Easter, Wesley was in the NICU so it was nice to get to celebrate with him at home! We kept it simple....Easter basket in the morning, and we went and had dinner with family in the afternoon.

I love his frog basket :-) I just filled it with $1 books from Target, because he really doesn't need much. I got the farm for his birthday, but he got so much stuff that day, I decided to give it to him for Easter, and to celebrate coming home from the NICU.

Trying on Uncle Alex's hat. It almost fits :-p

Trying out his first, (and only) motorcycle from his awesome aunt.

After Wesley's one year check-up, we decided to visit the NICU. I love visiting. We have only gone back once, when he was six month old. The nurses and doctors loved seeing him again. Wesley, on the other hand, was not so sure about them. He just stared at them. No smiles or cheerful baby talk. I wonder if he remembers? I loved seeing everyone again though. It is very strange to be back in the same room where your baby once struggled to survive. However, I have many good memories of the NICU, and those were the ones that stood out to me most on this visit.

The doctor that discharged Wesley form the NICU

Wesley with one of his first nurses. She was so sweet. She cried right along with us, and was sooo supportive.

Here is Ralph...he is also one of our most favorite nurses. He was so funny, and so sweet.
