My sister in law, Jennifer, has spent the past few weeks visiting from Washington. Wesley has had a lot of fun visiting with his two cousins, and has learned how to interact and play with other kids a little better. He mostly just wants to touch his cousin's hair, but still...it is good experience for him. We have had a lot of fun visiting the Zoo and the Aquarium of the Pacific. I think I had a lot more fun then the kids had! :-) Wesley did very well for both trips, and just sat in his stroller, taking the world in. He has mastered the art of "pointing" and would point his little finger at anything he saw. He would then clap, and get a big smile on his face. It is fun to see little tiny human beings learning about the world around them. It is so new and fascinating. It makes me want to learn even more about my world so I can teach my kids more about it. Funny side note...while at the zoo this young, cute couple stopped and started talking to Wesley. The husband took off his glasses and told Wesley, "you know...only genius' have blue eyes." His eyes were really bright blue like Wesley's, and he thought that was neat to see a baby with similar eye color. He then asked Wesley what his favorite animal was. All the sudden Wesley looks at me, and his little lip starts moving, and his eye brows turn in, and he starts screaming!!!! Screaming as loud as if he received a shot! The couple looked at each other and darted off, almost running. They were out of sight in a few seconds. It was pretty funny how fast they took off. Wesley has never done that before. He has always done really, really well with other people. Recently he has been a lot more clingy though. Maybe it is his age? I dont know...but I sure do love my little guy. He is such a fun ball of personality! We also had a lot of fun on Easter, but I will leave that to another post. :-)
