7 months!

My sweet Wesley is 7 months old!!!!!! (well, technically not until tomorrow, but I will be busy, so I posted today). Because Wesley was a "preemie" he has to have developmental evaluations to make sure he is reaching all his milestones, and developing at the same rate as those his age. His doctor explained that he was pretty big at birth for being early, and he is not even really considered a true preemie. However, he has to be evaluated mostly because of how sick he was. At his last evaluation, everything was good. He was born six weeks early, so he technically would be 5.5 months old if he were born on time. He has pretty much caught up to those his actual age. He scored high on the cognitive section (basically baby IQ), but was a little behind on gross motor skills (like sitting up). We have been working with him to help him sit up, and in the past week he has made good progress. He can sit for a few minutes now depending on the surface that he is sitting on. I can take such better pictures now that he can sit better, he he he :) He has also learned how to growl. I have no idea where he learned it. He will clench his little fists, and turn all red, and growl. It is hilarious, but a little weird, lol. Other than that, he is a happy, alert, silly, sweet baby. His hair is starting to grow in a tiny, tiny bit. It s bright, golden red. It is so cute. I feel so blessed everyday that I get to see his sweet smiling face.

I am also so excited for Halloween, and I have the perfect costume for Wesley. You will have to stay tuned to see what it is! :)
