dude...i'm like totally a mom...

I'm sure most of you mom's understand that confused feeling you get every once in a while when you look at your child and think, "wow...I really am a mom....huh......" Being a mom has been one of the most crazy, fun, sad, joyful, rewarding, frustrating, happy times of my life all rolled into one. I still think it is amazing that this little guy was formed from just a tiny cell containing two people's DNA, which divided and divided until it made a little person. This little person then gets squished and mushed into this world, having no clue as to what is going on. Then, his little brain keeps growing and growing, and it is my job to make sure his brain is being filled with righteous, wholesome, educational material. Amazing.

Wesley had his first 'real' smile about a week ago. I was eating oreo pudding, and I put some up to his nose to smell, and yup...he smiles. He is just like his mama...loves the sweets. :)

We blessed Wesley this last Sunday, and Jason gave him a really nice blessing. We had almost 40 friends and family come, and some how they all managed to fit in my quaint home after the blessing. It was fun though :) Wesley looked so cute in his little white outfit, and cute little shoes. I was soooo glad that he was calm through the blessing. My Dad said he was wiggling and kicking his little legs, but didn't fuss at all.

He is off his oxygen, and I love, love, love it. No more cords to tangle around the house. I can actually put lotion on his cheeks now, and they have healed from all the tape. He is doing soooo well. He is about 2 and a half months, but still in newborn size clothes and diapers. He is definatly growing though, and is double the size of when he was born. His doctor apt is this friday, but we think he is about 9.5 lbs. Maybe 10? yay for Wesley!!

So all those extra people were there for Wesley!!! I've never seen the chapel so full. He is VERY loved and yes, I know what you mean about the mom feeling. I still get it.

What a handsome little guy you got there! I love the pic of him in his crib, so sweet :) I can't believe you had so many people at his blessing, that is absolutely wonderful!
