so, this is life....

I have been out of school for about two-ish weeks, and I still can't wrap my little brain around the fact that I am now done with school, and I can now live a "regular" life. I mean, while in school, I always felt like "life" would not really start until I finished school. I mean, "grown -up" life...getting a job, buying a house, eventually having kids. I have never worked full time before, and I am still getting used to it. For those that don't know, I work at an Environmental Lab called E.S. Babcock & Sons. I work in the inorganic department testing water samples from all over southern Califonria. I think one of the most interesting parts of the job is seeing where all the samples come from. Some of the samples are drinking water, some are waste water before and after treatment, some come from construction sites, golf courses, restaurants, and so on. One sample came from a Mexican restraunt and smelled like corn tortillas. I am still training, and can't wait to be done so I can perform the tests on my own. The tests I am currently responsible for are pH/EC, biological oxygen demand (BOD), sulfides, nitrites, and later oil and grease. It is fun, and not too bad :)

We are still looking for a house. It has taken a little while, but that is ok. Prices continue to drop, and I am picky. At first, we would look at the house and then bid if we like it. Now, we just put in a lot of offers by looking at the pictures on line. If an offer comes back, we will look at it, and decide what to do from there. Almost every house we bid on gets multiple offers, and we have come in 2nd many times. The nice, affordable houses are going really fast. Jason and I don't really mind. We know that we will get the house that is meant to be. There is house that is looking promising, and if things end up working out with it, I will post pictures, and details later. As for now, we really love our apartment, and are not in any big rush. I will actually miss our apartment when we do move.

That is about it for now! :)
